We should be so lucky…

It's generally agreed that in the grand scheme of things, today's over 50s are the luckiest generation that ever lived.

We've benefited from the welfare state, a decent education system and the housing boom. Thanks to generally good nutrition, advances in technology and a still-enviable National Health Service, we'll live significantly longer, healthier lives than those who've gone before. Plus, of course, we're the wealthiest group in the UK population. All in all, we ought to be feeling pretty pleased with our lot! Read full article.
