One man's rubbish is another man's treasure! If your bookshelves are bulging and your DVD pile is so high you can hardly see the TV, it's time for a clear out.

It's easier than ever to sell spare or unwanted goods online. Amazon is a really useful website for selling on your old books, CDs and DVDs. Items in high demand are often textbooks and DVD box-sets.

If you've got some great books, but think that they look too shabby to sell, there's a section where you list their state of repair so you can put things up for sale without fear of misleading prospective buyers.

You'll need to set yourself up with a seller's account, but the website guides you through the process in easy to follow stages.
