Challenge your perception of learning

What does learning mean to you? From a degree in archaeology to following flat-pack furniture instructions, everything we learn has value and equips us with new skills and strengths.

Ask yourself what have you learned which is new to you:

  1. today
  2. in the past week
  3. in the past month?

How many of these things have you learned formally and how many have you learned by yourself, from being with friends or colleagues or from the media (TV, papers, radio, magazines, internet, etc.)?

You need to register/login to save this workout to your scrapbook.

Now think about how you could put your most recently acquired skills to use with future activities. Here are a couple of examples to get you started.

  • If you've just found out that your next door neighbour has joined a great book club, why not pop along to their next meeting?
  • If you've taken your first pictures with a digital camera, find out how to upload them to the internet to share with friends across the world.
If you'd like any of your ideas to appear on this site, please contact us with your suggestions.
